-----------------------------------------------------

a tribute to Kintsugi, the art of restoring broken pieces, using metals, among other materials, where the piece shows the "scars" of its accident, thus resizing itself, climbing a step; many times standing out from anonymity and the condition of being part of a mass production, to become unique by showing the history of its journey.

not counting the emotional value that many times the piece itself can have in our daily lives, because it unites us to the past, to our affections, to our bonds ...

I realize, once again, that this art-discipline connects me intimately with my search throughout all these years: in the visual arts, in gastronomy, in writing ...

and I end up not knowing if I am the one who establishes this type of kinship, or is it the paths that cross to certify the validity of my conjectures ...

I think it almost doesn't matter ...

When I finished this piece of ceramic, I was surprised by the result (I am not referring to its aesthetic values or its qualification): I had to immerse myself among its intricate and rugged edges: first, it assumed the shell of a turtle , and then stop at the play of metallic and chromatic colors in their range of blue-green ...

and right there, between his exposed wounds and the scars that suppose old lacerations, I establish this parallel ...

I celebrate the opportunity of this encounter between my pseudo foundation and the coincidence of coincidences, because at the end of the day, that allows -through the tribute to this discipline- to give a bit of legitimacy to the path that I am traveling ...
